  • 07:30Pickup in Tirana, drive south (~2.5 hrs, with a coffee stop).
  • 10:00Arrive Berat. Walk up to the castle (Kalaja) — still an inhabited neighborhood, with Byzantine churches and the Onufri Museum inside.
  • 12:00Down into Mangalem, the old quarter of white Ottoman houses facing the river.
  • 13:00Lunch (own expense) in Mangalem — [add your recommended spot].
  • 14:30Cross to Gorica quarter, then a short drive to a family-run winery for a tasting.
  • 16:30Drive back to Tirana.
